orchard is a discord bot i run myself. it's a hobby project, not a company and not a service i sell. by adding it or using its commands you agree to what's below. if you don't, don't use it.
orchard downloads audio from apple music and sends it to you in discord. it runs on hardware i pay for, using one apple music subscription that i pay for.
it's provided as is. i don't guarantee it'll be up, i don't guarantee your files will still be there, and i might shut it off at any point without warning.
downloading drm-protected audio may breach apple media services terms of service, and in some countries breaking drm is unlawful even if you pay for the content. section 1201 of the dmca in the us and article 6 of the eu copyright directive are the usual examples.
whether that applies where you live is on you to know. using orchard is your decision and your risk. i'm not a lawyer, this isn't legal advice, and i'm not responsible for what you do with the files.
i can cut off access whenever i want, for whatever reason, without explaining myself. realistically that only happens if you're making it unusable for everyone else.
download links stop working after about a day. ripped files get deleted after about a week. none of this is a backup. if you want to keep something, keep it somewhere of your own.
links use a long random token, but that's all that protects them. anyone you send one to can download the file until it expires, so treat them as public.
as far as the law allows, i'm not liable for anything that comes out of using orchard: lost files, downtime, or legal trouble. you're not paying me, there's no contract, and i'm not selling you a service.
i might change this. if you keep using the bot afterwards, that counts as accepting it.
