privacy policy

orchard is a hobby project i run myself. this is the full and honest list of what it keeps. i don't sell any of it, share it, or send it anywhere else.

what it stores

everything below sits in a single sqlite file on the machine i run it on.

• your discord user id. the numeric one, not your username. used to track your cooldown, count your running jobs, and record who started which rip.
• when you last ran a job. a timestamp, so the cooldown works across restarts.
• what you ripped. the title of the job and the names of the tracks in it, so /job can show you the links again.
• download links. a random token, the file it points at, and when it expires.
• cooldown exemptions. if an admin exempts you, your id and theirs.

what it doesn't store

• your username, avatar, or anything else from your discord profile.
• message content. it only sees the commands you run.
• anything from channels it isn't invoked in.
• ip addresses, other than whatever the web server logs when you click a download link.
• apple credentials for anyone but me. you never give it an apple login.

audio files

ripped audio sits on my disk. it gets deleted automatically after about a week. download links expire sooner, usually within a day.

files are cached and reused. if someone else rips the same track you did, they get the copy already on disk. filenames and track titles are visible to me, same as any file on a machine someone else owns.

who can see it

only me. there's no analytics, no third party service, and nothing goes anywhere else. logs stay on the host.

the exception is anything you post yourself. a download link sent in a channel is visible to everyone in that channel, and anyone with the link can use it until it expires.

deleting your data

ask me and i'll remove your rows. cooldowns and job history clear out on their own anyway, and audio goes in the weekly sweep regardless.

changes

if this changes, the date at the top changes. there's no mailing list to notify you.
